Chocolate-covered treats are the epitome of indulgence, combining the rich, creamy goodness of chocolate with a variety of delectable snacks.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups of dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips for a sweeter option)
1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional, for a smoother texture)
1 cup of fresh strawberries, washed and dried
1 cup of banana slices
1 cup of bite-sized pieces of pineapple or marshmallows (for added variety)
1 cup of pretzel rods or twists
Sprinkles or crushed nuts for topping (optional)
Sea salt for a contrasting flavor (optional)
1 cup of almonds or cashews
1 tablespoon of cinnamon sugar for a sweet twist (optional)
Instructions
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until fully melted and smooth.
While the chocolate is melting, wash and thoroughly dry the fruits.
Once the chocolate is melted, dip each piece of fruit into the chocolate, allowing excess to drip off before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Dip the pretzel rods or twists into the melted chocolate using a fork for easier handling. Coat them fully and place on parchment paper.
For chocolate-covered nuts, follow the same dipping method as the fruits and pretzels.
Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has completely hardened.
