Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes, or until it's frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs and add the melted butter to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  7. While the dough is rising, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Set aside.
  8. Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release any air bubbles. Roll the dough out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  9. Spread the softened butter over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top.
  10. Starting from one long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seams to seal. Cut the log into 12 equal slices.
  11. Arrange the slices in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes, until p■ up.
  12. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  13. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. If using, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze, drizzling it over the warm bread.
