A cheesy, crispy quesadilla baked to perfection, merging classic cheeseburger flavors with vibrant Mexican cuisine.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 large flour tortillas
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup chopped lettuce
1/2 cup pickles, diced
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Stir in chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let flavors meld for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
In a small bowl, mix together sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Set aside.
Assemble the quesadillas by layering a tortilla with beef mixture, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, diced tomatoes, chopped lettuce, and pickles. Top with another tortilla.
Repeat for remaining tortillas and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool for a few minutes, slice into wedges, and serve with the homemade sauce.
