  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk these dry ingredients together. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. While the dough is rising, mix the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
  5. After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Roll the dough tightly and seal the edges.
  7. Place the rolled stromboli seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.
