2 pounds ground beef
1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Topping:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup crushed Ritz crackers
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the meat mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, crushed Ritz crackers, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, oregano, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
Shape the meatloaf: Transfer the meat mixture to a lightly greased 9x5-inch loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a baking sheet.
Prepare the topping: In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, crushed Ritz crackers, and shredded cheddar cheese. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
