2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz) marinara sauce
1 teaspoon Italian herbs and spices
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cans (8 oz each) crescent rolls
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes.
Stir in the marinara sauce, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes.
Unroll one can of crescent rolls and lay them out in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish to form a crust.
Spread the beef mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust and top with one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place it over the beef and cheese layer.
