Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic herb seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  4. Open the cans of crescent rolls and unroll them onto a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, pressing them to cover the bottom completely.
  5. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the crescent roll layer.
  6. Spoon the ricotta mixture over the sausage, spreading it evenly to cover.
  7. Pour the marinara sauce over the cheese layer, spreading it evenly, and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Take the second can of crescent rolls and break them into triangles. Arrange the triangles over the top of the casserole.
  9. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes before slicing.
