Ingredients
Scale:
400 grams spaghetti pasta
250 grams ground pork
100 grams sliced hotdogs
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 medium carrot, grated
1 bell pepper, diced (optional)
1 can (400 grams) tomato sauce
1 cup banana ketchup
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon cooking oil
Grated cheese for topping
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant and the onion is translucent, about 3-5 minutes.
Stir in the ground pork and cook until browned, breaking it apart, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the grated carrot and diced bell pepper to the pan. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Pour in the tomato sauce, banana ketchup, and soy sauce. Stir well and let the sauce simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the sliced hotdogs to the sauce and heat through for about 5 minutes.
Taste the sauce and adjust with sugar, salt, and pepper as needed.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss until well coated, adding reserved pasta water if necessary.
Serve the spaghetti on a dish and top with grated cheese and garnish with green onions or parsley if desired.
