2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth.
Add the sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Whisk until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips evenly.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
Allow the Congo Bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting them out to cool on a wire rack.
