Ingredients
Scale:
- 1 sleeve of saltine crackers (approximately 40 crackers)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
- In a medium saucepan, combine unsalted butter and packed brown sugar. Stir until boiling, then boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Immediately pour the hot toffee mixture over the arranged crackers and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the edges bubble and toffee is golden brown.
- Mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the hot toffee-covered crackers and let cool for about 30 minutes.
- Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over cooled candy, followed by caramel sauce.
- Break the candy into pieces and enjoy!
